I really do love this time of year. Sure, it’s busy, but I love seeing family and friends, the joy on children’s faces, and getting holiday cards or updates from people near and far. With the year’s end right around the corner, it does give me pause to reflect on the year and feel grateful for so many things. My family, friends, and of course, the support I receive in doing this work . I am very grateful to be able to pursue this line of work, to help people capture memories, to document life’s changes, record special events, promote small business, share the beauty of the world, and to freeze time- if only for a moment.
With true sincerity, I thank you for your support. Thank you for having me help you tell your story, thank you for cheering me on, thank you for helping me do this work.
With that, here are some favorites from December. Wishing you a wonderful 2020!
I recently had the pleasure of being the event photographer for the Annual Madison Moms’ Cookies with Santa Event at the Concourse Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin. It was another wonderful event, just in time to get everyone into the holiday spirit. Attendees to the ticketed event were treated to cookies, hot chocolate, card making, stories with Mrs. Claus, and photos with the big guy himself!
Many local vendors were there with entertaining activities, from face painting by Funny Faces, healthy treat options from Yummy Sprout, or watching the talented performers from Kehl Dance School, dance along to cheerful tunes. Parents had the opportunity to learn about the many services and companies here to support families in our local community.
It was a grand event, bringing families together for some joyful, holiday fun! Thank you to Madison Moms for having me out to photograph this special event.
*If you’d like to see my entire gallery, or were in attendance and think I may have snapped a picture of your family, please contact me via email. 🙂
It has been quite the Fall season here in Wisconsin. There were about two days that were what it’s “supposed to be” and the rest were unseasonably cold and/or with precipitation. That didn’t stop many wonderful families from joining me for beautiful, seasonal photos this month. It also meant extra snuggles, which is always a good thing.
As always, I am so very thankful for all of the support I receive from many families and individuals. I am thankful that I can continue to do this work, helping others capture a brief moment in time, and also have a job that allows me to be with my family. So with deepest gratitude, I extend a heartfelt, thank you.
Without further ado, here is a peek of what I’ve been up to lately. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s been a busy month with the beautiful fall colors and many families coming together for portraits. Extended families, cousins, grandparents, babies, seniors, and kids all enjoying the outdoors together. Though things have turned quite chilly, it’s still quite lovely out and a great time to get in some extra snuggles together.
There’s still time to get some pics in before the holiday season so grab your hats and gloves and contact me 🙂

Happy Fall y’all!
It’s funny how the calendar turns and things begin to change. Never is that feeling more palpable than September. The school year begins again, the temps cool, the leaves just start to change colors, the sun goes down just a little quicker in the evenings. The whole rhythm changes just enough to signal that it’s time for a new season. Though I don’t really want the warmth to go away, there is a certain excitement that comes with September. For me, Fall is my busiest season and this year is shaping up to be the same.
If you haven’t booked for Fall, please let me know ASAP as my dates are filling in fast. Also, look for my official Mini-Express announcement coming soon. Until then, enjoy some lovely images from recent sessions and one very special wedding!
Summer don’t go! Though getting back to school and little routines feel good, I’m not ready for the temps to cool down just yet. I love the flowers and seasonal food of summer along with seemingly endless warm evenings. But all good things must come to end and Fall is always a lovely season too. It’s been a busy and fun summer with lots of time outdoors. So many families, babies, seniors, and some professional marketing photography as well. Here’s a peek of some of the sessions.
Hope you are savoring the last golden drops of this season as we all get ready for the next one!
We are mid-summer and it is so wonderful to be warm, and dare I say, hot?? Wildflowers abound and at this midpoint, we’ve settled into our summer groove with an eye on what’s to come, but also holding on to these long, warm, golden evenings with toes freed and cold treats. I love summer sessions- they’re so laid back and easy going. It’s typically lovely with color everywhere and golden light (even despite the bugs ;)).
Seniors, newborns, birthday milestones, and grandparent sessions! Such a fun time of year!! (PS: if you don’t know what to get your parents for birthday/holiday/etc.- it’s time with their grandkids and photos to remember it by- call me ;)).
Now is the time where things ramp up, so if you’d like to get on the calendar, please contact me today. The next season (which will for the moment remain nameless), is around the corner.
Enjoy some smiles along with the flip flops, ice cream, s’mores, and swimming a while longer!!!

Longer, warmer days, things growing outside, flip flops and skirts, delay between posts… it must be summer! Summer is a special time in Wisconsin, especially when April lasts 3 extra months. It has been wonderful to be back outside with families, enjoying the beautiful seasonal blooms, and long warm evenings. Summer is a great time to get the clan together, and meet some sweet new babies. I love it when the kiddies get to run free through the fields and babies get all snuggled up no matter the season.
Happy to be spending lots of time out at Crossroads Community Farm as well, helping them document their story and seeing all the beauty that nature provides this season. More on that to come!
For now, here are some wonderful siblings, new babies, and love to go around. Hope you are enjoying these wonderful warm days at last!
